Systems can be equipped with a ferrous magnetic separator, which allows for the destruction of complete ring binders. Metal parts, such as binder rings, no longer need to be manually removed prior to shredding. They are extracted by the magnetic separator, protecting the secondary shredder and increasing the life of the cutting head. This separation of materials also allows for easier recycling.
